Architects today are viewing the bathroom even more closely. They have divided it into three zones – the basin area, the water closet area and the shower area. The bathing area is of course the most important. This is the wet zone. It is this place which makes the entire bathroom wet, slippery, dangerous and unhygienic. It requires maximum management. There’s nothing more annoying than entering a wet bathroom and getting your feet soggy. If you are wearing rubber slippers in a wet bathroom you can slip and fall. It gets dirty quickly too.
Therefore, architects are separating the wet and dry areas in a bathroom by restricting the water inside the wet area only, thus, making it safe, bacteria-free and hygienic; turning it into a sanctuary after a hard day’s work. They are achieving this by simply creating a wet room within, by configuring a small shower enclosure in the wet area. Once the shower enclosure is in place, configuring the toilet and the basin becomes easier.
