Jaquar BIDSPA Prime: A water closet that’s a technological marvel

It lights up with a blue glow and the seat temperature warms up if it’s cold. There’s no need for toilet paper any more. Its numerous wash modes, built-in dryer, and deodoriser integrate all the functions of a bidet, taking personal cleansing to an altogether new level. Yes, this is the throne of the future. Jaquar’s new BIDSPA Prime electronic water closet is a toilet that on the one hand epitomizes minimalist and ergonomic design, while on the other it is a technological marvel.

The Japanese been hooked for decades on high-tech toilets. They are sometimes called super toilet and commonly known in Japanese as Washlet with features such as heated seats, warm water jets with massage options, blow dryer, touch-free operation and flushing at the touch of a button or just waving of a hand. These bidet-integrated toilets are vastly superior in concept, more hygienic and environmentally friendly compared to the European toilets, where an average individual uses 18kg of toilet paper every year. As of 2016, almost 81 percent of all Japanese households have bidet toilets installed.

Like any other electronic gadget, Jaquar’s BIDSPA has to be plugged into a power socket before use. This sophisticated appliance has a dazzling array of features. It’s touchless! You have complete supremacy over it with a remote control. You can press a button on the remote to light up the WC.

With the job done, you’re ready for the built-in bidet function. For that, you enjoy multiple wash modes — posterior cleansing spray, front feminine cleansing spray and posterior oscillating massage. You can press the nozzle forward button for moving the nozzle ahead and activating the front wash function. You may press the nozzle backward button for moving the nozzle backwards and activating the rear wash function. You have the option to press the oscillation button for a gentle, pulsating, spa massage feel, which also helps achieve a better, more thorough cleansing.

For the grand finale, a fan blows air over your buttocks when you press the dry button for normal dry. It blows warm air when you press dry temp button to increase temperature. After you leave the seat, its auto flush function kicks in to flush automatically. There is an option for manual flushing too, just in case, there is a power cut.
